DOOH spot length calculator

The media owner gives you slot and loop, and you estimate the dwell time. From those three numbers the calculator shows how the spot should be built. No account needed, and what you enter stays in your browser.

What this means for your spot

Message on screen no later than second
–s

Passers-by look up mid-spot and away again after two or three seconds. So brand and offer belong in the first half and should then stay on screen.

Cuts at most
–

As a rule of thumb, one cut every two seconds. Nobody can read more than that from twenty metres.

Plays per hour
–

How often your creative runs on one screen.

Chance that a passer-by sees the spot
–%

Dwell time divided by loop. Below 10 percent, most passers-by never see your spot. Then the very first second has to work.

Share of airtime
–%

Slot divided by loop.

These are rules of thumb from practice, not a measurement. Whether the spot works only shows on the screen itself.
